Billie Untermann

She co-authored and published “Geology of Dinosaur National Monument” with her husband Gerhard Ernest Untermann

 

Billie R. Untermann was the Director of the Vernal Field House of Natural History and  a geologist, botanist, and paleontologist. She co-authored and published “Geology of Dinosaur National Monument” with her husband Gerhard Ernest Untermann, the first Director of the Vernal Field House of Natural History. They made unequaled contributions to the promotion of tourism in the Vernal area related to natural history. She was inducted as an honorary member of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. She was born in 1906 and died in 1973 in Vernal (White, 1976).
